Activated Charcoal...so what is all the fuss about?

September 21, 2019

Activated Charcoal is becoming more and more popular due to its adsorbing qualities. Its high heat production process creates a huge surface area, with the potential to act like a magnet for toxins. To put it into perspective, one teaspoon of Activated Charcoal powder (about 3 grams) has the same surface area as a football field! So just imagine its potential!

The history of Activated Charcoal dates back as far as the Egyptians, Hippocrates and the Roman Empire. After the development of the charcoal activation process in the late 1800s, many reports appeared in medical journals about its use as an antidote for poisons and as a cure for intestinal disorders and much more. By the end of the 20th century Activated Charcoal was employed by every modern hospital, clinic, research department, and poison control centre in the world, for a number of different applications.

Activated Charcoal is not just another fad, like other supplements popping up on the market! Considering its widespread uses in history, incorporating it into your well-being routine is a simple way to encourage detoxification in your life.

Activated Charcoal can be used inside and outside your body with a range of benefits:

* Skincare - it works like a magnet to attract dirt and oil,
making it perfect for clearing and refining pores
* Alleviating Gas and Bloating - through binding the gas causing
byproducts in foods that cause discomfort
* Water Filtration - by trapping impurities in the water including
solvents, pesticides, waste and other chemicals
* Food Poisoning - most organic compounds bind onto Activated
Charcoal’s surface, preventing the absorption into the
body and eliminating it faster

Plus so much more...
